Jude's Picnic Party

Nothing is more fun to me than planning a first birthday party, and planning my sweet baby Jude's special day was no exception. I knew for my little man I wanted to do a picnic party. We love family picnics in the park and often have them in our own backyard. I could not wait to see little ones playing, eating and celebrating out back. Our darling Tiny Prints invitations set the tone, and it was full picnic mode from there collecting festive goodies to celebrate the big day.

I am all about some bunting and had the best time making all these banners for the big day.

We offered "adult lemonade" with lemonade, lime LaCroix and prosecco and plain lemonade for the kiddos.
I'm a sucker for paper straws and these reusable plastic bottles were perfect for the kids.

It's not a birthday party without sweets!
I was fortunate enough to have my mom {and partner in crime} bake all the desserts.
Classic picnic fare with chocolate chip cookies, rice krispie treats, brownies and of course cake!
I made the bunting out of our favor bags and party straws.

Since the party was in the middle of the day I went with easy finger foods.
Fruit kebabs, salami, cheddar, olive bites, caprese bites, pimento cheese tartlets and tortilla roll-ups.
For the kiddos we served goldfish and veggie sticks in these baskets.

How perfect are these Tiny Prints stickers?
You can completely customize all their products.

I loved displaying Jude's monthly pictures on our chalkboard.
And not going to lie, got super sentimental looking back at my little man growing so fast!
In lieu of gifts, we asked guests to bring canned goods to fill Jude's picnic basket and donated to our local food pantry.

Bubbles, hula hoops and balls kept the kiddos entertained.

My little man was a little unsure about the cake at first but immediately discovered his sweet tooth.
My mom and I made his party hat using this tutorial, and then added the custom Tiny Prints sticker to give it that special touch.

To thank all his friends for coming, we packaged up homemade chocolate chip cookies in these adorable baggies.
These Tiny Prints stickers just make me smile.
Tiny Prints now offers customized pillows that are just darling.
I think you can tell from the look on his face that Jude loves his!
We ended the party with full hearts {and full bellies} so thankful for an incredible year with our little man.

  1. Unlike many other venues I researched, these guys were willing to be flexible in order to make our dream reception a reality.
