Ten days to go!

I cannot believe we are ten days away from our due date!  Cannot believe we will be meeting this little guy/gal any day now. :)

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

At least in our living room.  That's as much as I could do this year.  I was so excited to decorate for Christmas and really go all out but all I could think about was having to put it all up next month probably running on very little sleep. ;) So, needless to say we are keeping things low key this year.

No tree-trimming party is complete without some festive beverages.  Forgot how good egg nog is!  Especially sipping it by the fire. :)

Some of my favorite ornaments

Ta-dah!

So excited for all that this season brings!  Here's hoping you and yours are enjoying a wonderful holiday season and wishing you a very merry Christmas.

Thankful for so much

I cannot believe it is already well into December.  I feel like I am not even thinking about Christmas because we have been so focused on getting ready for this baby.  I am a little sad we will not be traveling home for the holidays but am so excited to think our little one will be here which is the best gift of all. :)

Since we are not traveling for Christmas and were unable to travel for Thanksgiving, my whole family came for a Music City Turkey Day.  What fun we had!  My parents, youngest brother Michael and grandmother all traveled from Dallas.  My Aunt Kim came in from NYC and my Aunt Sondra, Uncle Bob and cousin Hannah all arrived from Baltimore.  I had all the 'fixins' but was not allowed to cook. Talk about the easiest hosting gig!  I did try to make sure to have plenty of yummy snacks on hand including their favorites...like my grandmother's Cheeto's.  She seriously loves them. :)

My beautiful cousin Hannah

A new family tradition has become a contest of seeing who can hold the squat position the longest.  We used to do this to get ready for ski trips but now it has become quite a competition.

Aunt Kim prevailed!

My table setting including yummy personalized cookies from Dulce Desserts.

Chloe thoroughly enjoyed snuggling up with her Uncle Michael. :)

Thanksgiving mimosas

My contribution to the day's menu. :)

Mom's turkey is amazing!  Makes this vegetarian almost want to dig in.

Our spread!

After spending the day stuffing ourselves silly we called it a night.  The rest of the weekend we showed the out-of-towners some of Nashville including Music Row, Hatch Show Print Shop, a tour of the Ryman and the Patterson House.  It was not all play though as I put these folks to work with help in the nursery finishing up the last touches.

It truly was a Thanksgiving to remember and hard to believe next year we will have a little one around.  We have so much to be thankful for this year, and I am just so grateful that we were able to spend the holiday with family we love so very much.

I have a sweet tooth.

I mentioned how much I love baby showers.  Probably because I love all the yummy treats you get to eat.  I have definitely developed a sweet tooth during this pregnancy and my sweet co-workers were thoughtful enough to plan my office shower around all my pregnancy cravings.

Doesn't get much better than Donut Den donuts, puppy chow, tea cakes, Rice Krispie treats and turtles.

Crafty Meghan handled the decor and went out of her way with fun little touches.
How cute are the felt birds?
I just love the framed rhymes!  They will definitely be making an appearance in the nursery.

My co-workers were so generous gifting Baby B and have been beyond supportive these last few months.  Grateful for such a caring office!

Look Whoo's Having a Baby

There are so many wonderful benefits to being pregnant, but one of my favorites has been all the fun showers.  I have just been blown away by the love and support so many have shown us throughout the last few months.  One such group would be my incredible Nashville friends.  I feel beyond blessed to think that four and a half years ago we moved here knowing no one except my one sweet friend Paige who I met during a fun summer in NYC.  Little did I know the community of friends I would develop over the next few years.

These sweet friends truly pulled out the stops with an appropriately themed owl shower (my friends know me well!).

This tasted even better than it looked.  Seriously.

Was so glad to have a girls weekend with my mom and mother-in-law both in town.

Baby B was once again spoiled!

My friend Julie brought her precious son Langston who was the hit of the party!  I just pray that Baby B will be as good a baby as he is. :)

Haley and I planning out our hospital stay.  We are due six days apart!

To thank these fabulous friends I found these fun Kate Spade bangles that say 'Take Heart.'

The lovely hostesses (minus Paige and Lauren)
So thankful for friends with such big hearts.  Baby B and me are truly blessed.
