Happy Halloween! What a day! A costume parade at school for G and our second annual party at our house. So much fun, but this mama is tired! More pics to come...

Scenes from the weekend...

It was one of those weekends...
The best kind.
So much fun and filled with nothing but family time.
The kind of weekend where we did so much but never felt rushed or pulled in too many directions.
B and I enjoyed a night out just the two of us.
Left the boys with a babysitter {that wasn't grandma!} for the first time.
Dinner at one of our favorite places and a fabulous party at one of B's client's amazing homes.
Best part of the night though was coming into a quiet house with both boys already asleep.
Spent a lazy morning inside on a cold, rainy Saturday, but then the sun came out and we headed to Gentry's Farm.
This place was incredible.
Watching G run around taking in all the animals, pumpkins and corn maze just warmed my heart.
We will definitely be making it a tradition each year!
Headed to church Sunday morning and ended the day with a trip to the park.
The perfect weekend with my three favorite guys.

Five on Friday

Happy Friday, friends!
Linking up with the girls to share what I'm loving this week.

Thank you, Moms on Call!
We are on week two of having Jude on a schedule and life is good.
So thankful for their tips!

Found this poignant post via one of my favorite blogs, and it really resonated me.
Lately I beat myself up about not being productive enough during the day.
To-do list remains never ending, make-up is not worn and the house is often not at its cleanest.
But I just go back to this quote...
But we are raising human beings. Does it get more productive than that?

Have been in desperate need of a good pair of basic black leggings.
After seeing Chassity post about these, I was intrigued.
Ordered a pair and managed to snag the Shopbop Friends and Family discount.
Here's hoping they are as fabulous as everyone says they are!

Love this!
Found these printables on Jenny's darling blog and cannot wait to do this for our friends.

5. Pumpkin Tree
I am obsessed with these!
I think they're actually eggplants, but G calls them "baby punkins."
Snagged it at Trader Joe's for $7.99 and it's lasted two weeks now!

Happy weekend, friends!

Happy two month birthday, Jude!

Look who's two months old!

Month two was quite the busy one for this little man!
He took his first road trip to Atlanta for our first vacay as a family of four and rocked it.
Slept much better than his older brother!
Month two was also the first time he was away from his mama and dada.
MeMo and Pappy stayed with him and G while we went away for some much needed alone time.
We also had lots of friends visit, and he enjoyed meeting so many new faces.
He still loves to eat and his two month check-up proved it for sure.
Weighing in at 15lbs 1oz, he weighs the same his brother did at his four month check-up.
99% percentile for height, 95% percentile for weight and 99% for head, he's a healthy, happy boy!
The highlight of this month has to be his killer smile!
Jude is just so lovable and happy and lights up whenever we talk or sing to him.
He's cooing and almost laughing and loves to keep the beat with music.
Here's hoping he has his dad and brother's musical ability!

Pinspired: Brie, Apple, Pecan Bundles

Over the weekend we were invited for appetizers and wine at our friends' house.
I offered to bring a snack to share.
Tired of my same old recipes I went to Pinterest hoping to find a yummy {and easy} app.
Found this gem and crossed my fingers it tasted as good as it looked and sounded.

Boy oh boy.
I mean you know you cannot go wrong when brie and crescent rolls are involved.
These were quite the hit!

Brie, Apple, Pecan Bundles

Ingredients:
Brie Wedge
Honey Crisp Apples
Chopped Pecans
Honey
Crescent Rolls

Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Unroll crescent rolls.
Place cube of brie, slice of apple, pecans and drizzle of honey on crescent roll.
Roll up and close tightly.

Scenes from the weekend...

I think this was literally the first weekend of Jude's life that we were in town with no visitors and no real plans.
We were thrilled!
We love being on the go but sometimes you just need to unwind.
And that's exactly what we did.
We finally have Jude on a schedule and life is good.
We managed to get both boys in bed and asleep by 8pm each night.
B and I were beside ourselves!
We actually got to spend time just the two of us enjoying adult conversation and good wine.
That paired with time at the park, napping, lounging and hanging with friends made for the perfect weekend.
Now if only the Saints could have pulled off a win...

Big Mama

George is at that really fun stage where his vocabulary is growing and he is learning new things each day. Right now he's all about "little" and "big". He'll pick up a small ball and say "little" then pick up a large ball and say "big." He'll point to Jude and say "little" then point to himself and say "big." His favorite though is "big." Everything is "big." "That's a big piece of pizza." "That's a big rock." "That's a big dada."  Sadly the other day he shared "That's a big mama!" I quickly corrected "Not big mama!" but that just made him chuckle. So again, and with a little more gusto he proclaimed, "Big mama! Big mama!" I replied with, "Little mama. Skinny mama." Yes, I am that vain and not wanting my son to call me out on those last couple of pregnancy pounds I need to drop. Ha! However my funny little man thinks he is hysterical and is too smart for his own good. He knows it gets a rise out of me so daily I get to hear "Big mama!!!" Considering that lovely statement is followed by the most infectious laughter, I'll take it!

He asked...she said yes!

Best wishes to my brother and darling soon-to-be sister!

He proposed this weekend at our family's ranch, and she was so surprised.
I mean could they be any cuter??
Beyond excited for the both of them and so looking forward to all the festivities!

Scenes from the weekend...

Oh what a fun weekend we enjoyed! One of my best friends from college and her adorable family traveled to Nashville in honor of the Mizzou/Vandy game.  Although we never made it to the game, it was a pretty good excuse to have them here. They arrived Friday night, and we were so thrilled to introduce Baby Jude to sweet Etta Kate, Matilda and Margaret. G was just excited to see EK again! Of course we headed to our favorite family-friendly pizza joint {bless their waitstaff!}. What a sight we were! Attempting to enjoy a glass of prosecco and catch up all while wiping noses and refiling sippy cups. Oh how times have changed! We managed to get everyone home and in bed and enjoy a glass of wine and some adult conversation. Whit and I naively let the guys go play golf the next morning thinking we could handle the five two and under. After quite the effort to load everyone up and then out again, we made it to the Village Artisan Festival. Too bad it was nearly 90 degrees with kids needing naps and hungry mamas. We lasted ten minutes. Dumped the kids back at home with the dads and managed to have some girl time shopping. Oh it's the little things! Chose to dine in with our kids in their MU gear, snapped some quick pics and put them to bed. Enjoyed the victory over Vandy and went to bed ourselves. I have never been so pooped {in the best way!}. Slept in Sunday thanks to B and enjoyed the best rainy afternoon. Highlight of the weekend? All four Boltons napping at the same time!
