Five on Friday

Happy Friday, friends!
Linking up again today with some fabulous gals to celebrate all my favorites this week.

Can you believe the Fourth is next week??
Is it just me or is summer flying by?
I love these champagne rocket bomb cocktails from Little Baby Garvin.
Planning on serving these up next week and hoping they work with a nonalcoholic sparkling beverage!

And in the spirit of celebrating the Fourth, I am loving this felt wreath Colleen made!
So thankful for her tutorial.
Hoping to whip this up this weekend.
We all remember my love of felt, yes?

Have you heard of these lifesavers??
They have been so helpful with all our travels lately.
I use them in the diaper bag but our bags as well.
Organizing everything from dipes and wipes to cell phone chargers and jewelry.

I am seriously addicted to these.
I have been craving lemonade and juice and was so happy to find the True Lemon and True Lime products.
Low calorie and naturally sweetened.
Mixing this black cherry limeade with my La Croix is my new favorite mocktail!

This devotional has always provided me such wisdom and insight, but this week it especially spoke to me and gave such comfort.
It has been a long week with a sick little man and my patience was truly tested.
So thankful for God's word and truth!

So what are you up to this weekend?
I'm looking forward to a date with my main man, family time and a sweet shower celebrating one precious mom-to-be.
Cheers to the weekend!

Anthropologie Maternity Line

Don't you wish??
Well you may be in luck.
I am so over my summer wardrobe.
All my maternity pants are getting a little snug.
It's hot, and I just want to throw on a dress.
Too bad my two go-to dresses are starting to depress me {I wear them everyday!}.
I refuse to buy any more maternity clothes but was in desperate need of some new dresses.
Fortunately my mom and I hit up Anthro when I was home {I just love having mom's opinion!}.
Thanks to some fabulous sale prices and just good deals, I scored some dresses that will get me through these last few weeks of pregnancy but will still be wearable post-baby.
Check out what I took home {thanks, Mom!}

This is so much better in person!
Cannot wait to wear it with my yellow wedges.

I took the tie off around the waist, and it is such a cute {and comfy dress!}.

Another just comfy, throw on dress that will probably be my uniform post baby.

This is my favorite!
The Dallas store had it in mint and navy, and I snagged it immediately.
I don't even look pregnant in it!

These last two didn't make it home with me but easily could have.

Any other fabulous summer dresses I need to know about that could go maternity/non-maternity??

Scenes from the weekend...

I'm back!
G and I had quite the extended weekend as we were in Dallas all last week.
We took advantage of my last chance to travel before Baby #2 arrives, and I'm so glad we did.
Flying 34 weeks pregnant with an 18 month old is not exactly a cakewalk but so worth it.
My aunts and cousin were in from NYC and Baltimore, so we took full advantage of lots of family time.
Plenty of eating {got our Tex-Mex and BBQ fix}, laughing {I have the full blown pregnant girl belly chuckle} and playing {discovered my new favorite game, Bananagrams} took place.
G got a play date with his friends, and I got a girls night with some of my besties.
As much as we love Nashville, it is hard living so far away from family and friends.
I was spoiled by the time we got to spend with them all and wish we could do it more often.
My poor little man played so hard and had so much fun, but it took a toll on him our last day.
Woke up with a high fever and terrible cough which made for a not so pleasant flight home.
Thankfully his dad was there waiting for us and was able to make him feel better.
Looking forward to our next trip home...
Now to just figure out how to fly with two under two!

Scenes from the weekend...

Did everyone enjoy a lovely Father's Day?  Sadly I was not with my own dad yesterday, but fortunately I get to see him tomorrow!  I did however spend the weekend honoring my main man who is such an incredible dad to G and Baby #2.  Lots of Dada and G time in our house.  Playing guitar, dancing, park time, pool time, church, Mexican lunch and a dinner with friends celebrating fatherhood made for a wonderful weekend.  Feeling truly blessed to have a husband who I love even more each day as I watch him continue to grow into his best role yet, dad.

Five on Friday

Happy Friday friends!

Linking up again today with the lovely ladies of A. Liz Adventures, Carolina Charm, Hello! Happiness and [the good life] blogs.

Here's what five things I'm loving this week.

Seriously cannot get enough of this stuff.
Guess it's better than eating a pint of ice cream.
At least that's what I'm telling myself.

Ok, I'm almost embarrassed to admit this, but this show may or may not be my new guilty pleasure.
Don't judge.
I randomly stumbled upon this the other day and just had to check it out.
It's AWFUL, but in an oh so good, cannot stop watching, train wreck kind of way.

Have you seen Carolina Charm's latest parties??
This one and this one just make me swoon!
I'm dying to host an outdoor gathering and will definitely take notes from these fabulous soirees.

Kept seeing these sandals on different blogs and Instagram and knew I had to check them out.
They are the best!
So comfortable and so fun.
Who doesn't love glitter and gold?

5. Minted Lace Headbands
Randomly found these adorable and oh so affordable headbands on Instagram.
Loving them!
Check out all the fun colors.
I snagged the gray, mint and floral.
Find them on Instagram @minted_lace.

Here's hoping everyone has a wonderful weekend!

This guy...

I don't know if it's the pregnancy hormones or what, but lately I am just a sap about my little guy.  I love him so much and am just so thankful for this time with him before Baby #2 arrives.

It hit me in Mommie and Me music class Monday, and I almost started tearing up.  I only have seven more weeks with G as my baby.  Don't get me wrong I am thrilled for this new little one to arrive {and ready to have my belly back!}, but it is so weird to think about G not being my one and only little one.

Not to gush {but I'm gonna!}, but he is just the best.  So sweet and loving yet funny and mischievous all at the same time.  He cracks me up and makes me laugh like none other.  B came in his nursery the other night as I was putting him down because he could hear us just cackling all the way in the living room.  G was "pretending" to go night-night and would close his eyes and start making snoring noises but then  peek up and see if I was watching and then start laughing.  He is such a mess!

He is learning so much in his music class and loves it!  He walks around the house with B's microphone just singing, "La, la, la...la, la, la."  It is the sweetest thing!

My favorite though is each night before I put him down he'll say, "Baby? Baby?" and lift my shirt to check on the baby.  He rubs my belly, then kisses it and smiles, saying, "Baby!"  He is going to be just the best big brother.

Scenes from the weekend...

Happy Monday, friends!
Is everyone feeling refreshed and renewed from the weekend?
Or just sad it's over and already Monday.  Ha!

My weekend started off so lovely.
Dropped G at school and went antiquing with some of my favorite gals.
Fun shopping and lunch in Franklin {complete with cinnamon rolls bigger than my head for breakfast the next day}.
Got home that night and started feeling bad.
Woke up Saturday, and it hit me.
I'm 32 weeks pregnant, exhausted from chasing after an 18 month old and so uncomfortable due to my ever growing belly.
It was the first day I just finally felt it all at once and literally could not get out of bed.
We were supposed to go to a kid's birthday party and a friend's going away dinner, but sadly I was dead.
B was the best and entertained G all day with a trip to the park and the music store.
My boys played and let me sleep all day.
It was amazing.
As much as I hated to miss all the fun activities we had planned, I'm so glad I was able to stop and just listen to my body.
As hard as it is, you have to take it easy every now and then.
Fortunately I am feeling so much better and ready for the week ahead!
