Scenes from the weekend...

Oh the times they have a changed.  And I wouldn't have it any other way.  It's funny how our weekends are spent now, our little family of three (four...sorry, Chloe.).  Gone are the days of racing from event to event or over-scheduling ourselves to death.  B and I both try to make the most of the weekends and soak up as much time with our little guy as possible.  This weekend was simply glorious in that it was the first weekend in a long time (I cannot even remember when) that we were in town, no one was visiting, no one was sick (another post in itself...G naturally got sick for the first time last weekend, so our fabulous Memorial Day trip were cancelled) and we had no plans.  There is truly nothing better. ;)

Friday night we enjoyed dinner with friends and planned on venturing out to the Full Moon Pickin' Party but with abnormally cool weather, good wine and two talented pickers (B and our friend), we brought the pickin party to their house.
Sweet G was such a trooper and just had the best time being passed around and staying up way past his bedtime.  I am so thankful that my baby is as social as we are.  He found a new friend and loved wearing her puffer vest. :)

Decided to become Costco members...even though I loathe buying in bulk. ;)  Stocked up on La Croix, so I was happy!

Made my new favorite cookies.  SO easy...

1 box caramel cake mix (or any cake mix)
1 egg
1/4 cup oil
1/4 cup water
Chocolate chips (optional)
Mix all ingredients together and bake at 350 for 15 minutes.
So yummy!

Answered phones for the Nashville Public Television telethon.
Volunteered with the Nashville Children's Theatre bunch and spent a lovely evening hearing fun stories from the actors as well as highly entertaining calls.  Let's just say not everyone was calling to pledge... ;)
Oh yes, that's me in the corner...

A closer look... :)

Hope your weekend was wonderful as well.  Happy Monday!
