Rosemary Beach Recap

The cooler temps have finally arrived, but I'm still reminiscing about our incredible trip to the beach just a couple of weeks ago. We headed to Rosemary with some of our best friends. Four families with eight kids two and under. I have to admit I was a little nervous wondering how we would all survive under one roof, but all the kids and all the parents got along so well. Rosemary Beach and Alys Beach are just absolutely magical. I don't know if it was the salty air, the perfect weather or the abundance of wine flowing, but it could not have gone any better. This is a trip we will definitely do for many years to come!

Highlights from the trip included kicking off our vacay just our family of four at La Cocina with some margs and chips and queso. We loved watching our sweet Jude take in the sights and sounds of his first beach trip. He definitely ate his fill of sand, and we laughed watching him crab-walk all over the place! George loved jumping in the waves and looking for seashells or "buried treasure" as he called it. I made the kiddos monogrammed buckets and shirts that were all a hit. We had one day of off and on stormy weather but a trip to the Donut Truck did the trick. Let me just say Jude certainly enjoyed his first ever donut. He never came up for air! Some rainy day crafts and movies appeased our sweet kiddos, and by some miracle each night by 7:00 all eight kids were asleep {or at least quiet and in bed!}. The adults were able to enjoy takeout, wine, games and plenty of laughter. Two out of our four nights we were fortunate enough to have babysitters come over and got to enjoy dinner at two of our favorites George's and Edward's. We were so thankful to enjoy adult conversation out away from the kids as well as the most amazing cuisine. Cheers to such a memorable trip and cannot wait to do it again next year!
