Oh what a Christmas! I feel like I blinked, and it was over. Maybe that's because I'm pregnant and exhausted and nap everyday. Just kidding {but not really}. We were so excited this year to have our family come to us. And from all over I might add! My parents and grandmother from Dallas, my aunt from NYC and my other aunt and cousin from Baltimore all traveled to Nashville, and we had the best time. It was a bittersweet Christmas since my grandfather passed away the week before, but it was truly a blessing to have us all together to reminisce. Christmas Eve we went to church and all teared up as we sang "Oh Holy Night" which was my grandfather's absolute favorite. Returned home and continued our usual traditions of Tex-Mex and matching pajamas on Christmas Eve {thank you Mom for bringing everything!}. Our Christmas morning was filled with the sounds of G's drumming {yes, we are those crazy parents who actually got him a drum set}, presents galore and lots of cooking and eating. It brought me such joy to see all of my family in the kitchen together laughing and chatting as they whipped up our feast. Our nights were spent staying up way too late playing Scrabble, drinking wine {oh how I missed this!}, eating Christmas cookies and talking until all hours. The presents, planning and decorations are all great, but to me family truly is the best gift of all. It meant so much to have everyone here together, and we certainly missed those who could not make it!
The matching pjs on everyone are the best!!
