So I know juicing and smoothies have been the rage for some time now, but I have never really been a fan. Don't get me wrong, I love me some Jamba Juice {so wish we had one in Nashville!}, but I have never made my own. B has been a long time fan and used to spend many a morning at the Whole Foods juice bar. So this weekend I decided we'd jump on the bandwagon and start with this smoothie I found on this adorable blog. The appeal for me was no bananas {I literally loathe them} and simple ingredients {all of which I already had in my fridge}.
Check out our version!
Two handfuls of spinach
Two slices of pineapple
One Gala apple
Three cuties
1/2 cup of Coffee-mate Natural Bliss Sweet Cream
{not pictured is lime juice}
Voila!
This little man LOVED it! Literally sucked it down.
What are your favorite smoothie recipes?
Any without bananas?
Rachel! I am so glad you guys liked it. It's our favorite! Thanks so much for linking up :) And your little boy? He is absolutely adorable!

Thanks, Jamie! Keep those fabulous recipes coming. :) Your little one is just precious too!
ReplyDeleteI've been saving up healthy smoothie recipes like a madwoman. I've decided that I love them. I usually put bananas in mine, though - it's easy and I love the taste.
ReplyDeleteRachel, just checked out your blog. Love it! Cannot wait to try the frozen spinach cube idea. Thanks!
DeleteI forget you don't like bananas! I drink a smoothie every day because I'm not the best eater - so I want to make sure I have eaten the good stuff. I do:
ReplyDelete1 cup almond milk
1 cup frozen berries (bought at Costco with blackberries, blueberries and raspberries).
2 cup spinach and 1 cup kale
1 scoop vanilla whey protein
Every now and then I'll throw in some almond butter:). I've got to try this Jamie's smoothie, and freezing cubes is also brilliant - especially because spinach goes bad so quickly.
Oh Lauren this is exactly what I need! Cannot wait to make this.
