Holly Jolly PJ Party

It really is the most wonderful time of the year! And what is Christmas without kiddos in cute holiday jams?? After bath time last night we dressed the boys in their holiday duds and surprised them with a trip to go look at Christmas lights. We also bribed them with candy canes to actually sit still and take some pics. How do you moms with multiples do it?? I can never seem to get both of them looking and smiling at the same time. Oh well, they are still pretty darn cute!

The boys pjs are from our favorite shop Sugar Bit but are sold out. There are still some other darling holiday items left, so don't fret! Thanks to these lovely ladies for hosting such a fun pajama party! Cannot wait to see all the kiddos decked in their festive pjs!

Five on Friday

{ONE} Candy Cane Cake - How fun and festive is this cake?? A little ambitious for my taste {I'm all about a cake mix out of a box. Don't judge!} but cannot get over the whimsical look of it. Thinking I might whip up a poke cake and decorate like this. Easy but still super cute. The best of both worlds!

{TWO} Holiday To-Do List - Can you believe Christmas is next week?? We've had a rough couple of weeks over here, and sadly holiday festivities have been put on the back burner. Was feeling guilty we weren't decorating cookies, looking at lights and snapping pics with Santa. Luckily stumbled across this poignant print and got things back in perspective.

{THREE} Christmas Wrapping - Usually I like to plan out a theme when it comes to wrapping our gifts. The craftier the better! Alas this year, this is as good as it's going to get. I have to say I am a fan of the yarn garnish! So simple. The good news is all the gifts for out of towners have been wrapped and shipped! Now to just finish wrapping for the folks who will be with us come Christmas!

{FOUR} Chef - Don't get me wrong, I'm all about some holiday movies. We've definitely been watching plenty of Elf and Christmas Vacation, but the other night B and I decided to take a break from the festive films and stumbled upon Chef. You guys, this is the best movie I have seen in a long time. You must watch it! Just be warned it will make you hungry!

{FIVE} G's camping vest - You may remember last week I mentioned we were in full party planning mode for G's tent party. The tents are still a work in progress, but luckily I found this adorably rugged vest for my little man that will be perfect for his big day!

Our Christmas Card + Family Photos

I have to say one of my favorite parts of the holiday season is receiving Christmas cards. I absolutely love them! Each year I get so excited to plan ours and this year did not disappoint. The fabulously talented Jamie Hunt took our family photos, and my oh so talented friend and stationer extraordinaire Courtney Callahan Paper designed our cards. I could not be more pleased with how they turned out! Wishing I could send you all one! Be sure and scroll down to see the beautiful and fun moments Jamie captured. Merry Christmas from my family to yours!

Five on Friday

Happy Friday, friends! Here's what five things I'm loving this week.

{ONE} Holiday Favorite Things Party - I love to entertain {especially around the holidays!} and was absolutely swooning when I found this fabulous party. Is she not the most incredible hostess?? How fun would this be to do with your friends? I hosted something similar a few years ago for our girls' recipe club, but thinking I'm going to twist B's arm into getting the guys involved!

{TWO} George's Tent Party - Sadly my holiday favorite things party will most likely have to wait until next year because I'm already in party planning mode for my little man. G turns three next week {where oh where has the time gone??} so we are hosting his party the weekend after Christmas. Little man is all about some tents these days {and flashlights!}, so we are going with a camping theme. Since it's a little chilly to play outdoors, we'll be hosting an indoor tent party complete with some DIY Tents. B and I are not exactly handy, so here's hoping we can pull these off!

{THREE} Cinnamon rolls - In the midst of birthday party prepping, I'm also getting ready to welcome our family for Christmas. I am so excited so many of my family will be making the trip to Nashville and cannot wait to continue our family traditions in my home as well as start some new ones. One of my favorites is our cinnamon roll competition. You may remember I won last year with these bad boys. In an effort to keep my title, I'm thinking this recipe will do the trick. Do you have any favorites??

{Four} Mini Capri Blue Candles  - With all the holiday hustle and bustle I've been a little behind on another one of my favorite traditions, making treats for the boys' teachers. So this year I'm keeping it simple. I absolutely adore theses candles from Anthropologie and the mini ones are the perfect gift to thank those lovely ladies who keep up with my wild men each week. Plus, these make fabulous hostess gifts for all those holiday parties. I'm stocking up!

{FIVE} Anthropologie Sweater Sale - And speaking of Anthro, did you know all their sweaters are 25% off right now?? I'm all about a deal and this one is good. If you have anyone left on your shopping list, this would be some seriously good giftage. I got this one last month for my birthday and have been living in it. So soft!

Mad about Plaid

I am loving plaid this season and cannot get enough of its coziness. I'm living in checked button downs, and how fabulous are the plaid blanket scarves? Here's hoping Santa brings some new cozy pjs for Christmas morning! Here's a roundup of some of the plaid I'm loving these days.

Thankful

Was Thanksgiving really a week ago?? Clearly I got caught up in the hustle and bustle of this holiday season and feel like the last week flew by. Luckily we had the best Turkey Day and Thanksgiving weekend. For the first time in forever, we did not travel and no one came here. At first I was worried we'd be sad not being with all our family, but I have to say there was something special about time just the four of us. We canceled our reservation and decided to cook. It was so fun and surprisingly relaxing to cook while watching the boys play and enjoy the parade. Maybe it was the Bloody Mary's! The perfect Thanksgiving lunch, nap by the fire and leftovers that night made for a memorable holiday. The rest of the weekend was spent celebrating a Friendsgiving with some of our favorites and picking out our Christmas tree. We went real this year and will never go artificial again. It was magical watching G pick out his favorite tree, and the house could not smell better. I am just giddy for this Christmas season!
